#16 | I went to South Goa!

It was a long time coming! After lots of research, playing hide and seek with COVID-19, dodging most of the election season, I embarked on a trip to the most popular holiday destination in the country. Well, not quite! Since party season was on hold, we decided to stick only to South Goa. This was a spur-of-the-moment plan for a trip afar, so it was a bit of a packing nightmare. And before I knew it, I was on a flight to Goa!

Hope you enjoyed the video…I will just list down the details you need to know for the Goa trip.

There are both direct and connected flights from Kolkata, and you can take them according to your convenience of landing time. I took a connecting flight early and landed in Goa in 5 hours.

I am sure you will find a lot of videos and blogs where you will be advised to take a train to Mudgaon from Delhi or Mumbai, which is also a great option. But due to time constraints, we had to book flights. It cost us a little extra but saved us a lot of energy. Once we got off at the airport in Goa, we took a local taxi to Agonda. The people over there were super friendly and kind! The smile on their faces was worth treasuring. Upon reaching Agonda, we sped towards the beach for the last hour of sunlight left, with our phones left charging in our rooms. With a fully charged DSLR camera, I managed to get some snaps and shots which I later incorporated in the vlog of my first day in Goa. You can check out the place where we stayed here.

The beach huts are a great place to have food, beer, and relax, but we went to a famous restaurant called Fatima’s instead which was situated on the Agonda Beach road. The food there was very affordable and too tasty. When in Agonda, do check out their tasty dishes and cocktails! You would not want to miss it even a day, be it breakfast or lunch or dinner!
